The Kútvölgyi Hospital in Budapest was the focus of a major renovation to modernise the hospital complex in the northern area of Buda. For this project, Panaria Ceramica wall tiles were chosen to clad the entire façade of the building.
In fact, the technical characteristics of the porcelain stoneware are ideal for ventilated façades and well beyond the aesthetic connotation, they meet several technical-engineering requirements: they guarantee high mechanical strength, resistance to frost and temperature changes, non-combustibility, minimal water absorption and ease of repair.
The ventilated façade was realised using the collections Prime Stone laid in the reduced thickness of 5.5 mm. Like a vertical chessboard, Panaria Ceramica’s laminated porcelain stoneware slabs in the Sand Prime variant in the 100x300 cm size, restoring a harmonious and discreet final look consistent with the hospital context.
